Semana de la Ciencias, Septiembre 2018 - Science Week, September 2018

La Semana de la Ciencia tuvo lugar del 13 al 14 de septiembre en el CONICET (Casa Coleman). Dos días llenos de reuniones interesantes y muchas explicaciones sobre lo que el CONICET está haciendo concretamente en diversos campos de investigación. Hubo puestos de exhibición sobre botánica, arácnidos, serpientes, mamíferos, medicina humana y muchos otros. Fue un evento lleno de grandes oportunidades para todos, especialmente para los niños de la escuela primaria.

Durante la Semana de la Ciencia, realizamos un seminario sobre los carnívoros del sudoeste de la provincia de Buenos Aires, explicando la diversidad de la comunidad de carnívoros en esta ecorregión única, e introduciendo nuestros proyectos, especialmente el de los conflictos entre carnívoros y ganado.

Hubo una gran afluencia, tanto de investigadores como de visitantes, ¡y esperamos que todos ustedes vengan a la próxima Semana de la Ciencia!

 

The Science Week took place from 13th to 14th of September, at the CONICET (Casa Coleman). Two days full of interesting meetings and many explanation about what is the CONICET concretely doing in diverse fields of research. There were exhibition stands about Botany, Arachnids, Snakes, Mammals, Human medicine and many others. It was an event full of great opportunities for everyone, expecially for kids of elementary school.

During the Science Week we held a seminary about the Carnivores of the South-West of the Buenos Aires province, explaining the diversity of the Carnivore community in this unique eco-region, and introducing our projects, expecially the one on conflicts between carnivores and livestock. 

There was an amazing affluence, of both researchers and visitors, and we hope all of you will come to the next Science Week!
